Persephone’s 40th birthday weekend

What an amazing weekend we had with Persephone and all the other sides for their 40th birthday. We camped on Friday and Saturday nights at Sandal Rugby club.  On Saturday we were part of the irons tour, travelling back to Huddersfield and dancing around the town with the Rhubarb tarts and Rose and Castle. We danced at the Mining Museum on Sunday and were well fed and watered including a wonderful birthday cake! Robin and Tim

On a very summery weekend Friends of Persephone gathered at Sandal park Rugby Club, Wakefield.

Tours on Saturday included dancing at the newly refurbished Piece Hall in Halifax.

A good evening meal plus a ceilidh finished off the Saturday events. Sunday was spent at the National Mining Museum in glorious sunshine
